Job summary

Agentic AI in Cambridge is seeking a Head of AI Engineering & Delivery to lead the development and delivery of advanced AI products and platforms. You will drive technical strategy, oversee software, platform and AI engineering teams, and ensure delivery excellence at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Engineering, Data Science, ML Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise software, AI or SaaS solutions into production.
• Exposure to Agentic AI, AI agents, intelligent automation or Generative AI technologies.
• Strong understanding of scalable software architecture, cloud platforms and engineering best practice.
• Proven ability to drive execution, delivery excellence and commercial outcomes.
• Experience operating within a high-growth technology environment.

The Role

Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will lead the development and delivery of advanced AI products and platforms, driving both technical strategy and execution.

This is a key leadership role requiring a strong engineering background, proven leadership capability and the ability to deliver innovative AI solutions at scale.

About You

• 10+ years' experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise software, AI or SaaS solutions into production environments.
• Exposure to Agentic AI, AI agents, intelligent automation or Generative AI technologies.
• Strong understanding of scalable software architecture, cloud platforms and engineering best practice.
• Proven ability to drive execution, delivery excellence and commercial outcomes.
• Experience operating within a high-growth technology environment.

Technical Experience

Experience across several of the following areas would be advantageous:

• Agentic AI
• AI Agents & Autonomous Workflows
• Generative AI & LLMs
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Multi-Agent Systems
• MLOps / LLMOps
• LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI or AutoGen
• OpenAI Agents, Microsoft Copilot Studio and MCP
• Azure, AWS or GCP

Education

• 2:1 degree or above from a Russell Group university in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
