As the leader of the industry verticals Financial Services and Retail, as well as our Mid-Market program focusing on activating new video advertisers, you will report to the Country Manager Germany. You will utilize your management skills and extensive experience in digital advertising sales to attract, hire, and retain a top sales team. Your goal is to grow and scale the category’s domestic revenues with our Entertainment partners.

Employing a strategic and tactical approach, you will determine short- and long-term revenue plans per brand, account, territory, and Account Executive, focusing on increasing overall sales performance. With your broad client-side and agency relationships within Financial Services, Telecommunication, and Retail industries, alongside a deep understanding of digital advertising, you will lead 12+ Account Executives. They will build strategic relationships with advertisers nationwide. You will also develop and manage key internal partnerships within Amazon, aiming to meet revenue targets and partner with agencies to deliver advertising products that meet client needs. As a member of the German Amazon Advertising management team, you will have overarching responsibilities and direct access to other Advertising teams’ leaders.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Manage a high-performing sales team of 12+ across two levels.
  2. Attract, hire, and retain top sales talent.
  3. Enable your team to exceed sales, pricing, and yield goals.
  4. Develop skills and strengthen the organization’s bench.
  5. Mentor and coach sales representatives.
  6. Determine short- and long-term sales revenue plans for each brand, account, and territory, including annual revenue budgets and tactical plans.
  7. Create and implement sales programs and tools to increase performance.
  8. Drive the sales management process, generate leads, and open doors for the sales team.
  9. Partner across organizations to set up the sales channel for success.
  10. Lead strategic meetings with senior executives to expand partnership priorities.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience managing teams with goals and timelines.
  • Video/STV sales experience.
  • Proven ability to close sales and generate revenue.
  • Ability to align cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Skilled in data navigation and analytics for decision-making.
  • Experience selling and managing custom programs from concept to execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical thinking with ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Track record of closing large, complex deals.
  • Extensive experience in ad sales, management, agency/media sales, or entertainment sales.
  • High-level negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Experience with programmatic media sales.
