Finance Division

Head of Accounts Payable

Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

Role context

The Finance Division aims to provide ethical and effective management of the School's financial resources, and to ensure high-quality finance services for our internal and external customers that are necessary to achieve world-class teaching and research.

The Accounts Payable team is responsible for the end-to-end process of paying School suppliers punctually and efficiently, meeting time and quality targets.

The School has a complex Accounts Payable environment, with a large proportion of foreign and exotic currency payments, subsidiary companies, one-off suppliers and other anomalies (such as student payments). The team process over 2,000 documents per week.

Responsibilities
  • The Head of Accounts Payable is responsible for the leadership and operational management of the Accounts Payable function and team of eight.
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism is a core requirement for this role.

  • Evidence of extensive specialist AP experience, including leading a team
  • The ability to manage a high-volume, high value transactional service
