Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Head of Accounting Services focused on Sales to Cash (StC) to join the Finance Services leadership team. You will optimise working capital, drive cash flow improvements, and lead the end-to-end StC process across billing and collections, with a strong emphasis on governance, systems, and collaboration with the Record to Report team.

Qualifications

• ACA/CIMA/CCAB qualification required.
• Experience with SAP ERP and external providers.
• Experience leading large teams in shared services.
• Strong cash flow and working capital management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full Sales to Cash process, setting strategic direction and managing against SLAs, KPIs, controls and budget.
• Lead optimisation of processes across ERP and interfacing systems, driving end-to-end improvements.
• Ensure consistency and quality in billing, collections, reconciliations, and balance sheet activity.
• Collaborate with senior business leaders on working capital matters.
• Lead and develop a talented team, supporting learning and development.
• Contribute to CBS strategy as part of the CBS leadership team.

Whatyou’llbring

• An ACA,CIMA,or CCAB qualification
• Experience usingERP SystemSAP and liaising with third-party outsource providers
• Experience of leading significant teams in a Shared Business Services or similar delivery environment
• Financial and changeexpertiseinend-to-endcommercial,salesandcredit/collectionprocesses
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to engage, inspire, and motivate large teams
• Strong analytical and risk management skills
• Good communicationand relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively
