Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a rugby coaching lead to deliver high‑quality coaching, management and performance monitoring for the Men’s Rugby Union Club within UoM Sport. The role focuses on the 1st and 2nd teams competing in BUCS, with training sessions twice a week and participation in BUCS fixtures during the season.

The post holder will drive performance improvements, oversee team development, and ensure effective coordination with BUCS competitions from October through March.

Qualifications

• Deliver quality coaching and performance monitoring for BUCS teams.
• Lead the 1st & 2nd teams in the UoM Sport Pathway.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coaching, management, organising, delivering and monitoring performance for the University of Manchester’s Men’s Rugby Union Club.
• Lead the 1st & 2nd teams in BUCS league games from October to March and BUCS cup competitions.
• Organise training sessions (2 x 1.5 hours per week) and monitor progress across the season.
