Kitchen Assistant at Statham Manor Care Centre - Hospitality - Full time Permanent

Join our team at Statham Manor Care Centre, a purpose-built facility in Lymm, Cheshire, providing care for 66 residents with diverse needs, including residential and nursing care. We prioritize safety, comfort, and high standards of care, investing in the latest technology and offering engaging activities to enhance wellbeing. Our staff are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with comprehensive training provided. Rated GOOD by CQC, we maintain a stable, permanent team to ensure continuity of care.

We seek a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to help prepare meals for residents and visitors. This role offers a 35-hour weekly contract with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekends.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Head Chef/Assistant Chef.
  2. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and areas according to schedules.
  3. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP regulations.
  4. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
  5. Perform daily pot washing duties.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
  2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
  3. Effective communication skills are essential.
  4. A willingness to learn is essential.
  5. No formal qualifications are required; training and development will be provided.
