POSITION: HEAD HOUSEKEEPER

LOCATION: BURLEY, HAMPSHIRE

SALARY £32,000 – £35,000

This is an exciting opportunity to lead your own team in this beautiful country house hotel as Head Housekeeper.

About the role:

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll take pride in ensuring that the bedrooms and public areas are always presented to the highest standards. You’ll lead by example, managing a team of Room Attendants and working closely with the General Manager to deliver a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every guest.

Key responsibilities for the Head Housekeeper:

  • Oversee all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing housekeeping team
  • Create efficient rotas, monitor workloads, and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Conduct regular room and public area checks to maintain top-quality standards
  • Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and COSHH regulations
  • Work collaboratively with front of house and maintenance teams

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or Supervisor in a hotel setting (essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating occupancy
