Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited seeks a Head Housekeeper for Foxcrest Hills in Coalville, opening Jan 2027. You will lead a small domestic team, ensuring high standards of cleaning, laundry and resident care in a welcoming home.

You will work 35 hours per week, 3 days on, 3 days off, 08:00–18:00, at an hourly rate of £13.82. Sponsorship is not available at this time. Join us to help create a luxury yet homely environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality housekeeping service to all areas of the home.
• Oversee domestic staff and ensure duties are completed to high standards.
• Order cleaning stock and maintain stock levels.
• Ensure areas are cleaned per guidelines and schedules to meet residents' needs.
• Respect confidentiality of residents' information at all times.
• Understand and comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, and Health & Social Care Act requirements.
• Ensure resident clothing/items are labeled, repaired and returned to residents promptly.
• Ensure equipment is safe, maintained and faults reported promptly.
• Check home areas are stocked with housekeeping items and report shortages.
• Be an active team member, attend training sessions and promote a friendly, supportive environment.

Your role will be based in Foxcrest Hills which is well under construction and set to open in January 2027!

As a Head Housekeeper, you will play an integral role within the care home, working as part of a small domestic team. Your role is key to ensuring the home is cleaned and maintained to a very high standard, in line with the cleaning schedules, so our residents live in an exceptional environment. You will become part of the care home family and let’s be honest, YOU are what makes our home a great place to live and work!

Key Responsibilities:

• -To provide a high quality housekeeping service to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard and that all linen and resident’s personal clothing/items are correctly laundered
• -To oversee all domestic staff and to ensure all duties are completed to the desired standards.
• -You will be responsible for ordering cleaning stock and ensuring stock levels are correct at all times.
• -To ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents’ and homes needs.
• -To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity and choice.
• -To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safe and efficient laundry service in the home. Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control.
• -To check that all residents’ personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair and returned to the correct resident in a timely manner after each laundry session.
• -To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, including resident’s right to privacy, dignity and choice.
• -To ensure all equipment used is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both Maintenance and the General Manager.
• -To check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages.
• -To always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur.
• -To be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meeting, attend training sessions and ensure that The Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
