Our stunning care home, Ashlands Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Sale, South Manchester. The home is registered to care for 57 residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We uphold the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. Rated GOOD by CQC in all domains, we prioritize safety, comfort, and wellbeing. Located in a great area with a strong local reputation, we invest in the latest technology and offer engaging daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' experiences. Our team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo full induction, and receive ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on having a 0 agency staffing usage for over 5 years, employing a permanent team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents trust. All staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.

We are seeking to appoint a caring, motivated, and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team. The role involves overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, in line with the New Care specifications. The position offers a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £13.20. Shift times are 0800-1630, with alternate weekends required.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to achieving the home’s standards for Housekeeping.
  2. Undertake general cleaning tasks.
  3. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure quality service during each shift.
  4. Promote best practices throughout the team.
  5. Complete all orders following company policy.
  6. Implement a full deep clean schedule.
  7. Ensure the working environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
  8. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or contacts.

Skills and experience required:

  1. Background in commercial cleaning within hotels, care, or hospital environments.
  2. Experience managing a team of housekeepers.
  3. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  4. Experience in auditing, stock control, and legislation such as COSHH.
