Job summary

Balhousie Care Group is seeking a Head Housekeeper in Kinross to lead a small team and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care home. This role rewards dedication, attention to detail, and strong team leadership.

You will manage cleaning supplies, ensure infection control procedures, oversee laundry operations, and complete essential administrative tasks. Experience in a care or hospital setting is preferred but not essential, and a warm, communicative manner is

• Ability to lead and inspire a team, a caring nature, and good communication with colleagues, residents and relatives.
• Warm, friendly manner and ability to multitask when necessary.

• Complete documentation and administration to ensure the smooth running of the department.

As Head Housekeeper, you will play a central role in making the home warm and inviting. You will lead a small team of housekeeping staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for our residents. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the leadership skills to ensure your team performs at their best.

About you:

Experience in housekeeping within a social care or hospital environment in a similar role will be advantageous but not essential. We also seek the ability to lead and inspire a team, a caring nature, and good communication skills, as you will often interact with other colleagues, residents, and their relatives. We are looking for individuals with a genuinely warm and friendly manner who can multitask when necessary.

Successful candidates are subject to satisfactory references and a PVG check and must be authorised to work in the UK.
