Our stunning care home, Bramhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the popular area of Bramhall Village, Stockport. The home is registered to provide care for 71 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. It meets all CQC requirements and offers the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. We invest in our homes to enhance residents' experiences, including OOMPH, an award-winning activities and wellbeing programme. We utilize the latest technology and provide a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercise to promote wellbeing. Our team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in partnership with the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, with over 5 years of zero agency usage, to ensure continuity of care and build trust with residents. All staff across New Care are paid at or above the national minimum wage.

At Bramhall Manor Care Centre, we also offer some intermediate care in collaboration with the NHS. Residents may move here temporarily for rehabilitation following hospital stays. The team works closely with therapy services and finds this work highly rewarding.

We are seeking a caring, motivated, and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team. The role involves overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, in line with the New Care specifications. The position offers a 40-hour contract, with an hourly rate of £13.20. Shift times are 08:00-16:30, with alternate weekend work.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to achieving the home’s standards for Housekeeping.
  • Undertake general cleaning tasks.
  • Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure quality service delivery during each shift.
  • Promote best practices within the team.
  • Complete all orders following company policy.
  • Implement a full deep clean schedule.
  • Ensure the environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Background in commercial cleaning within hotel, care, or hospital settings.
  • Experience managing a team of housekeepers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in auditing, stock control, and legislation such as COSHH.
