Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead and develop the housekeeping team in a care home setting. You will ensure a high standard of cleaning and hygiene, supervise staff, and actively support residents to meet their needs.

The role includes overseeing laundry services, attending resident and relative meetings, and managing rota and budget considerations to maintain excellent service and care standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in their role and ensure all duties are performed
• Maintain a high standard of cleaning and hygiene within the home
• Supervise the team and actively encourage their development
• Understand residents' needs and ensure these are being met
• Ensure the laundry of residents' clothing is to the highest standard
• Attend resident/relative meetings
• Manage rota and budget responsibilities
