Job description

Position: Head Host

Contract: Full-time, 5 days a week

Location: Ochre

Salary: £13.15 per hour (basic) + £4.05 per hour (tronc) = £17.20 per hour

Working Hours: Full availability required Monday to Sunday

Based inside the National Gallery, Ochre is a modern European restaurant highlighting British seasonal produce. It offers a contemporary European menu and exciting private events.

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic Head Host to join our fantastic team. As Head Host, you’ll help manage the host team, manage the reservation system, and assist with the variety of events held at this iconic venue.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests as they enter the restaurant
  2. Manage the reservation system and handle reservation-related emails
  3. Address guest complaints and ensure resolution
  4. Oversee and manage hosts team performance
  5. Maintain and update the restaurant website and all the reservation platforms
  6. Organize and store vouchers and discount codes
