Southern Hospice Group seeks a Lead Gardener to shape and maintain welcoming outdoor spaces across its Sussex sites, including Worthing. You will lead garden staff and volunteers while upholding the highest horticultural standards to support wellbeing and comfort for patients, families, and staff.

With hands-on gardening and supervisory duties, you will plan workloads, coordinate with the Grounds Manager, and guide volunteers and corporate groups to deliver high-quality outcomes in a supportive

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year gardening experience with powered garden machinery.
• Experience with crops within a polytunnel, including planting, watering, feed and harvesting.
• Broad understanding of garden maintenance requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead garden staff and volunteers, providing directions and support to maintain high standards across sites.
• Plan workloads and coordinate with the Grounds Manager for high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met.
• Maintain lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, trees, shrubs, turf and irrigation systems.
• Support volunteers and corporate groups with a positive, well-organised experience.
