Overview

Head Dental Nurse - Leadership Role in Established Practice

Location: Surbiton
Hours: Monday to Thursday, with 1-2 Saturdays per month
Salary: £16-£17 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

A respected dental practice is seeking a confident and experienced Head Dental Nurse to lead its clinical support team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care and clinical compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the dental nursing team across multiple disciplines
  • Oversee decontamination procedures and ensure compliance with infection control standards
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory systems
  • Support implant procedures one day per week (implant experience preferred but not essential)
  • Assist with specialist treatments including orthodontics, endodontics, and paediatrics
  • Maintain clinical excellence and contribute to a positive team culture
Qualifications
  • GDC registration
  • Previous leadership or senior nursing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of compliance, decontamination protocols, and stock management
  • Implant nursing experience is a bonus but not essential
