Job summary

Together Dental LTD is seeking an experienced Dental Nurse to lead and support a busy nursing team in Broxbourne. You will uphold clinical excellence, ensure patient safety, and mentor junior nurses while maintaining high standards of infection control and governance.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will coordinate rotas, oversee compliance with GDC, CQC, HTM, and drive service improvements. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with salary £17.50-£19.25 per hour, dependent on

Qualifications

• GDC registration as a qualified Dental Nurse.
• A recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
• Significant experience working within a dental practice.
• Experience in a senior or leadership role or capability to step into one.

Location: Broxbourne

Salary: £17.50 - £19.25 dependent on experience

Hours: (40 hours) Monday - Friday

Contract: Permanent

The Role

• Lead, support, and motivate the dental nursing team.
• Ensure the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence are maintained.
• Oversee compliance with GDC standards, CQC regulations, HTM guidance, infection prevention and control protocols, and company policies.
• Coordinate nurse rotas and ensure appropriate clinical cover.
• Support the recruitment, induction, mentoring, and ongoing development of Dental Nurses.
• Carry out regular clinical audits and maintain accurate compliance records.
• Work closely with the Practice Manager to identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency.
• Support clinicians to ensure surgeries run efficiently and patients receive an exceptional experience.
• Lead by example by providing chairside support and maintaining excellent clinical standards.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture.

About You

• GDC registration as a qualified Dental Nurse.
• A recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
• Significant experience working within a dental practice.
• Previous experience in a senior or leadership role, or the ambition and capability to step into one.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and people management skills.
• A sound understanding of CQC requirements, cross-infection control, safeguarding, and clinical governance.
• A proactive, organised, and positive approach to leadership and problem-solving.

Additional qualifications such as Radiography, Oral Health Education, Sedation, or mentoring are desirable but not essential.
