Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to achieve their best, while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

What you |

  • Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role-modelling a coaching culture.
  • Are dedicated to ensuring an excellent guest experience, with dishes prepared to exceptional standards, either through your efforts or by empowering your team.
  • Ensure your kitchen’s food, health, and safety standards are maintained, understand the financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs, and proactively spot opportunities.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your Head Chef on recruitment and development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Are a forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions on your feet.

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of having genuine conversations with consideration and care.
  • Proven experience in maintaining food, health, and safety standards.
  • Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock control.
  • Experience managing labour costs and reacting to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage the team, supporting their growth.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and they belong.
  • A forward-thinking problem solver, able to think on your feet.
