Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support in coaching and developing your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering exceptional results.

What you |

  • Focus on creating a caring, supportive environment where your team feels valued and celebrated, nurturing talent and role-modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
  • Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards, understand financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and proactively identify opportunities.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, collaborating with your head chef on recruitment and development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Be a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of quick decision-making.

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Strong communication skills with genuine, considerate conversations that ensure your team feels supported.
  • Experience maintaining high standards in food, health, safety, and financial management including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Inspirational leadership that motivates and engages teams to thrive in their roles and careers.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive, respectful environment where everyone belongs.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
