Job description

As Head of CRES Service Management, you will lead a department of seven direct reports and five specialized units of skilled professionals. This cross-functional organization focuses on steering, developing, and optimizing services and the corporate real estate portfolio. Success in this role relies on strong collaboration and close partnerships with the CRES Regions.

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering global services aligned with Swiss Re’s NEXT ambitions, including:

  • Service Projects – Leading (digital) project management and consultancy services
  • Group Travel Management – Overseeing business travel and corporate credit card programs
  • Global Centre Operations – Managing lease accounting, the CRES ContactOne landscape, and related operations
  • Group Own Insurance Portfolio Management – Responsibility for Swiss Re’s internal insurance portfolio (travel, property, liability)
  • Art, Curating & Collection – Managing Swiss Re’s art assets
  • Building & Technical Facilities Coordination – Steering global building infrastructure strategy and optimization

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the CRES digital landscape and initiatives in close collaboration with the Group Digital & Technology Office (GDTO)
  • Serving as a member of Swiss Re’s Emergency Management Team

About the Team

Corporate Real Estate & Services (CRES) is globally responsible for Swiss Re’s corporate real estate, including the management of efficient and functional office environments, as well as the delivery of high-quality services that support the daily business needs of our customers.

The CRES Service Management department develops and supports these services, offering expertise and guidance across the full CRES service portfolio. It also serves as the key service-related interface to the CRES Regions and the Group Digital & Technology Office (GDTO).

About You

We’re looking for a self-motivated and collaborative leader who thrives in complex, global environments. You bring strong interpersonal and people management skills, with the ability to unify diverse teams and build trust across functions. You’re confident engaging with senior stakeholders, facilitating discussions, and constructively challenging the status quo.

You work well under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement. With a positive, can-do mindset, you lead by example and inspire those around you to grow and succeed.

You have:

  • A Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Corporate Real Estate Management, or an MBA.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex operations and large-scale global initiatives.
  • Proven ability to align diverse teams and drive change across a complex, global network.
  • Strong understanding of Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES), with solid business acumen and domain expertise.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify and address client needs; excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in business English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
