Job description

We are looking for a Head Cook to prepare nourishing and well-presented meals. The role involves creating seasonal menus based on input from residents, families, and management, considering dietary requirements, and ensuring the kitchen complies with all regulations.

Rate of Pay: £15.05 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: Full time

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Compile seasonal menus with input from residents, families, and the Home Manager, ensuring meals are suitable for residents' backgrounds, cultures, and dietary needs.
2. Deliver excellence in meal times, dining experience, and presentation.
3. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, ensuring food standards and health & safety regulations are met and monitored.
4. Manage effective financial controls, adhering to company budgets.
5. Manage and develop the kitchen team, including supervision, appraisals, and induction of new staff.

Essential Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:

• Must hold a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above.
