Full Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and inspiring Head Coach to lead our coaching team and deliver high-quality football sessions. The candidate must hold a minimum UEFA coaching License. Responsibilities include maintaining coaching standards, mentoring and developing coaches, and developing student/athlete squads aligned with our academy strategies. The Head Coach will liaise with academic staff regarding cross-programme details and student welfare, and collaborate with the operations manager to confirm weekly schedules, fixtures, and academy offerings. Providing feedback and evaluations to support player progression is essential. The role also involves attending meetings with coaching staff, management, and academic staff, as well as participating in academy events throughout the year, including ID events, showcase matches, summer camp, European tours, and promotional tours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-quality football sessions
  • Supervise and support coaching staff
  • Create session plans
  • Develop individual coaching plans for players as needed
  • Liaise with academic staff regarding student welfare and performance
  • Coordinate with the club secretary to set fixtures
  • Maintain and prepare equipment for use
  • Deliver presentations on code of conduct and other academy information
  • Assist in recruitment via Zoom calls and video reviews
  • Organise academy events
  • Hold FA A license or higher
  • Proven coaching experience
  • Experience in an academic environment
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
  • Willingness to travel abroad for recruitment camps
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
  • First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Willing to drive company vehicles, including minibuses
  • Experience working in a football academy and educational setting
  • Familiarity with coaching manuals or similar resources
  • Degree in a sport-related subject
  • Ability to engage with prospective students and parents regarding programme schedules
