A new independent restaurant in London is seeking a Head Chef to lead its kitchen and design a seasonal menu. The role offers creative freedom in a supportive team environment, with evenings only, prioritizing high-quality dishes and guest experiences.
Head Chef – up to £55,000 p.a. (including service charge)

We’re Oui Madame – a new independent restaurant centred around seasonal sharing plates and a carefully curated wine list, launching soon just a short walk from Highbury & Islington station.
Our concept is all about refined food in a relaxed, social setting. We’re small, thoughtful, and flavour-driven—perfect for guests who love good food, great wine, and memorable evenings.
We’re now looking for a Head Chef to take the lead in the kitchen, shape the launch menu, and help bring this exciting new concept to life.
About the Role:This is a hands-on, creative leadership role in a tight-knit team. You’ll be the driving force behind the kitchen—designing menus, running service, managing your team, and setting the tone every night.
With service running Tuesday to Saturday evenings only, this is an opportunity to lead a high-quality kitchen with a balanced, sustainable schedule and full creative freedom.
What You’ll Be Doing:Designing and evolving a seasonal, shareable menu that fits the Oui Madame ethos
Leading the kitchen during prep and service in an open kitchen environment
Managing daily operations including stock, rotas, and cost control
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, organisation, and presentation
Training and mentoring a small, motivated team
Working closely with the FOH team to deliver a seamless guest experience
Experienced as a Head Chef or strong Sous in high-quality, fast-paced kitchens
Passionate about seasonal produce, bold flavour, and clean, elegant presentation
Calm, focused, and confident—especially in guest-facing, open kitchens
Comfortable working in a small team and leading from the front
Strong on kitchen systems, costings, and cleanliness
Positive and collaborative—no egos, just great energy
up to £55,000 per year (including service charge)
5-day week: Tuesday to Saturday – evenings only
28 days paid holiday
