Current Vacancy: Head Chef at Fermain Valley Hotel

Fermain Valley is a 4-star luxury hotel in Guernsey, with a cliff-top location offering stunning views of the Channel Islands. The hotel features 49 individually designed rooms and three popular restaurants: Rock Garden Steakhouse, Búho, and the Terrace.

About the Role
  1. Ensure the Kitchen Brigade consistently delivers exceptional food & service, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  2. Lead the team in achieving department goals, planning, organizing, and improving work processes.
  3. Innovate and develop menus with a distinctive style, inspiring the team and guests.
  4. Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure workplace, following protocols and engaging in training initiatives.
  5. Build effective relationships to foster a positive learning environment.
  6. Make confident decisions, consulting others as needed.
  7. Lead menu development, understand business financials including costs, forecasting, and budgets.
  8. Bring enthusiasm, fun, and passion to the team.
About You
  • Previous experience in a similar luxury, multi-outlet hotel is essential.
  • Proven leadership in managing, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding food & service.
  • Excellent rapport-building skills with colleagues and guests.
  • Professional, organized, and friendly approach.
  • Vast food knowledge and awareness of current food trends.
  • Emotional intelligence and commitment to self-improvement.
