Head Chef - Northampton

£28,912 per annum

Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

Are you passionate about food and ready to lead a kitchen team to success? We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our dynamic team in Northampton If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a flair for delivering high-quality dishes, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers

  • Identifying opportunities to improve our food service and menus

  • Creating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supported

  • Delivering tasty and innovative food concepts that align with Compass Group standards

  • Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a strong, positive brand image

  • Ordering food, managing stock control, and controlling food waste

  • Overseeing kitchen cleaning and hygiene standards

  • Managing budgets and achieving financial targets

  • Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification

  • Have experience in a similar Head Chef role

  • Be a brilliant communicator with the ability to build strong team relationships

  • Create a positive work environment where the whole kitchen team can thrive

  • Take initiative and make sound decisions for the benefit of customers and team

  • Show enthusiasm, motivation, and a drive to deliver excellence

  • Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability

  • Be safety-conscious with a strong understanding of food hygiene
