Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is seeking a hands-on Head Chef for an elegant townhouse hotel in central London. You will lead a 5-person kitchen team, craft a modern British-Western menu and oversee all culinary operations from the restaurant to M&E.

The role offers £55,000–£60,000 per annum, a share of service charge, a bonus scheme, a company pension and training opportunities; candidates must be able to commute daily to central London as live-in accommodation is not available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Head Chef with experience leading a kitchen team.
• Experience creating modern British-Western European menus.
• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Ability to manage budgets and costs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen brigade of 5 and recruit/train staff.
• Oversee all kitchen operations including inventory, procurement, and maintenance.
• Create menus for the bistro-style restaurant.
• Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
• Manage budgets and contribute to profitability.
• Collaborate with F&B Manager to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
