Job summary

Klondyke is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation at our restaurant within Howdens Garden Centre. The role is full-time and involves 45 hours per week across five days with weekend work, but no evenings or split shifts.

Qualifications

Head Chef with strong leadership and ability to manage a large team.
Experience designing menus within brand guidelines and local sourcing.
Solid understanding of health and safety compliance in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operation of the kitchen, hands-on role.
Plan menus and daily specials within company framework.
Plan and manage the chef and kitchen team in meal preparation.
Monitor stock levels and manage orders; perform weekly stock count to hit GP targets.
Ensure high hygiene standards and equipment cleanliness.
Plan rotas and holidays to meet service level requirements.
Collaborate with Restaurant Manager to drive sales and service quality.
