Gather and Gather is recruiting a Head Chef to lead our multi-site kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality portfolio in Sunbury-on-Thames. You will oversee food production across a restaurant, outlets, and cafés, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation for daily service and events.

The role requires strong leadership, menu planning, HACCP compliance, and budget control, with the ability to coach a 10+ person kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Lead kitchen operations across multiple venues
• Ensure high quality, consistent presentation of all food
• Strong HACCP and food safety standards
• Manage food costs, waste, and kitchen budget
• Coach a kitchen team of 10+ people and provide training
• Collaborate with clients and management on menu planning and events

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations for hospitality events of up to 1500 covers
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all food across daily service and events
• Monitor food costs, minimise waste, and manage the kitchen budget effectively
• Conduct stock takes, manage inventory, and maintain kitchen equipment
• Liaise with suppliers, place orders, and ensure all products meet quality standards
• Work closely with clients and management on menu planning, tastings, and special events
• Lead, coach, and support a small kitchen team of 10+ people
• Oversee smooth day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction
