Job summary

TLC Care in Potters Bar is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at one of their care homes. You will oversee daily operation, ensure high standards of quality and nutrition, and manage dietary requirements including kosher, halal, vegan and vegetarian options.

As Head Chef you will recruit and train kitchen staff, develop menus with sustainable produce, monitor food costs, and ensure compliance with EHO hygiene standards within budgets.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 1/2 (or equivalent).
• Basic Food Hygiene certification.
• Previous supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Organise and control efficient production of quality food within budget.
• Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals; accommodate dietary requirements (Kosher, Halal, vegan, vegetarian).
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.
