Job summary

Salveo Care is seeking a creative and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Wendover Manor, our forthcoming 55-bedroom care home. You’ll shape our food offer, develop seasonal menus and build a kitchen team ready for opening.

You’ll lead with strong kitchen leadership, work with management, Hospitality, Care and Wellness teams, manage budgets and suppliers, and ensure outstanding food safety and nutrition for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a care or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and allergen management.
• Ability to create warm, seasonal, nutritious menus tailored to residents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team and culture.
• Create fresh, seasonal menus and adapt to residents’ feedback.
• Manage budgets, ordering and suppliers to deliver quality dining.
• Ensure exceptional standards of food safety and quality, including dysphagia considerations.
• Collaborate with Management, Hospitality, Care and Wellness teams.
