Job Details

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Head Chef to join our team in Howdens Garden Centre.

Our competitive pay rates depend on experience.

The role involves 45 hours over 5 days, including weekends, but no evening work or split shifts. The centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

The restaurant offers a high-quality menu using local produce, along with homemade desserts and baked goods from our onsite bakery. We seek an enthusiastic and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will lead food production, inspire your team, and ensure excellent standards. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to drive sales and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations, being hands-on.
• Plan menus and specials within company guidelines.
• Manage the kitchen team and stock levels.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Plan rotas and manage holidays.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to improve standards and sales.
