Job summary

Klondyke & Strikes Garden Centres in England is seeking a talented Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen, create menus, and drive everyday quality with a hands-on approach.

You will manage a large team, monitor stock, plan rotas, maintain top hygiene standards, and work closely with the Restaurant Manager to deliver outstanding experiences for customers. 45 hours per week, weekends required, no evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of food hygiene and safety.
• Ability to plan menus and manage stock.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily kitchen operation hands-on.
• Plan menus and daily specials within company framework.
• Plan and manage chef and kitchen team in the preparation of all meals.
• Monitor stock levels and manage stock orders and carry our weekly stock count to ensure GP targets are achieved.
• Maintain high food hygiene standards and safety practices.
• Plan rotas and holidays to meet service levels.
• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve the highest standards of service and sales.
