Job summary

A leading care home provider in Fort Augustus is seeking a passionate Head Chef. You will lead the kitchen team to deliver nutritious meals and develop seasonal menus tailored to the dietary needs of residents. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in a similar setting and possess strong leadership skills. This temporary role also requires food hygiene certification and a current PVG Certificate. Applicants should be available from August 1, 2025.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a residential or care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above preferred) is required.
  • Current PVG Certificate for working with adults and vulnerable people is necessary.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a passionate and skilled Head Chef to lead the kitchen team in our Client's welcoming care home in the heart of Fort Augustus. Nestled in the scenic Highlands, our care home prides itself on delivering nutritious, delicious meals that feel like home. This is a temporary role which is ideal for someone who values quality food, creativity, and the well-being of others.


Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a residential or care setting.

Knowledge of dietary requirements for older adults and those with health conditions.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above preferred).

Current PVG Certificate for working with adults and vulnerable people.
