Job summary

Taste Hospitality Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Head Chef for an award-winning 2AA Rosette gastro pub in Oxfordshire. This role offers genuine creative freedom to lead a kitchen with seasonal, local produce and a strong focus on provenance.

You will oversee a brigade of five, balancing refined cuisine with busy service, restaurant dining, private events, weddings, and Sunday lunches, while maintaining the pub’s excellent reputation.

Qualifications

• Previous Head Chef experience required or strong Sous Chef ready for step up.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Strong fresh food background with ability to balance quality and volume.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a brigade of five, maintain high standards.
• Develop seasonal menus featuring local produce and homegrown ingredients.
• Maintain and enhance 2AA Rosette standards across service and events.
• Oversee GP, stock control, and labour management for kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and utilise kitchen garden produce.
• Mentor junior staff and drive creativity across all food offerings.
