Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the culinary team in planning and preparing well-balanced and appetizing meals, considering residents' dietary needs, preferences, and medical restrictions.
  2. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a clean, well-organized kitchen environment to support the health and well-being of the residents.
  3. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food and labor costs, ensuring high-quality meals while meeting budgetary goals.
  4. Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment while addressing the unique needs of nursing home residents.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of food services and coordinate special events tailored to the needs of residents.
  6. Stay updated on nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements, introducing innovative menu items when appropriate for the elderly population.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Head Chef in a nursing home or healthcare setting.
  2. Culinary degree or relevant certification.
  3. In-depth knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and specialized food safety regulations for elderly residents.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills with a compassionate approach to catering to residents' needs.
