Summerville Care Home in Stockton Heath, Warrington, is seeking a Head Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen, delivering nutritious meals and a fantastic dining experience for residents.

You will manage menu planning, food preparation, stock control and budgets, while meeting dietary needs and maintaining safety and presentation. This role offers 40 hours per week, a good work-life balance, and progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Proven experience leading or managing a kitchen.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of dietary requirements and food safety.
• A proactive, reliable and quality focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and deliver high quality, nutritious meals for residents.
• Plan menus, prepare food, manage stock and budgets.
• Ensure dietary needs are met while maintaining safety and presentation.
• Develop a motivated, high performing kitchen team.
• Drive cost control and minimise waste.
