The Vacancy

From weddings and large events on our 300-acre estate to urban beach barbecues in the Walled Garden and private dining in historic splendour, we offer an imaginative range of banqueting experiences here at The Grove.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Banqueting Head Chef to join us and lead the team in the Banqueting kitchen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality banquets, events and functions and need to have experience of doing this on a large scale and to a high standard with consistency, attention to detail and showcasing creativity. We’re looking for strong leadership and teamwork skills with proven experience of leading, managing motivating and developing a high performance team.

• Highly organised, focused on productivity and efficiencies
• Hands-on “operator”, team player/team builder driven by customer satisfaction and high standards

NVQ 2 & 3 or equivalent

Superb culinary and innovation skills and excellent attention to detail

• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Problem solving ability, planning and time management
• Assertiveness and decision making skills
• Good PC skills including Word and Excel
• Interviewing skills and mentoring experience
