Job summary

The Grove Lodge and Courtyard is seeking a Head Chef to join our bank team, delivering nutritious meals for residents and ensuring high standards of food safety and service. You will prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals, accommodate special dietary requirements, check deliveries, and manage stock.

Experience in care home kitchens and Level 2/3 catering qualifications are preferred; good English and numeracy are essential.

Pay Rate: £14.01per hour (Bank)

More about the role

As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will maintain accurate records and the correct orderingof food supplies.

You will also check deliveries and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and the kitchen, dining areas -including equipment -are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working in a care home kitchen, as well as a Level 2 or Level 3 catering qualification or equivalent or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
