Job summary

Hall & Woodhouse, the Dorset-based brewer, is refurbishing The Griffin and re-opening in Spring 2027. We’re hiring a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen, align with brand specs, and drive a high‑performing team at one of our well-loved pubs.

You’ll work a 5‑day week with a great package (£43K) plus tips, profit share, and comprehensive benefits. The role demands energy, leadership, and a passion for excellent, consistent fayre.

Hall & Woodhouse is the Dorset based brewer that owns over 150 high end pub restaurants and inns throughout the South of England. Well loved local pub

The Griffin is temporarily closed for refurbishment. Set to re-open in Spring 2027, The Griffin will be transformed to take it's place as part of the group of exceptional Hall & Woodhouse community pubs. The pub has been much loved as a central part of life for locals and visitors for many years and following extensive refurbishment it will re-open with a sprinkle of Hall & Woodhouse magic, all new facilities, great new menus, fabulous ales and day-making hospitality …. We are recruiting now for a new Head Chef to lead our kitchen in this exciting project, you will start ahead of time and train into the role at other H&W pubs so that you are fully prepared to lead the re-opening.
