Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to food safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and managing a team of cooks in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Our client has a bonus scheme in place where the Head chef will receive the below if targets are hit:

  • 2% of that month's bottom line when the net profit is under 150,000
  • 4% of that month's bottom line when the net profit goes over 150,000

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimise profitability.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
