Temp to Perm opportunity for Head Chef
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established 4-star hotel located in the Slough/Windsor area, known for delivering exceptional guest experiences and high-quality cuisine. This is an excellent Temp-to-Perm or Permanent opportunity for a passionate and experienced Head Chef looking to lead a dynamic kitchen team in a vibrant hospitality setting.
Position Overview:
Role: Head Chef
Location: Slough/Windsor area
Type: Temp-to-perm or permanent role for the right candidate
Hours: rota based
Rate: From £19 per hour, depending on experience + holiday pay and service charge included
Key responsibilities
• Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to the highest standards
• Develop and update seasonal menus in line with customer expectations and cost controls
• Manage stock levels, supplier orders, and kitchen budgets
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
• Recruit, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profitability
Requirement
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef in a busy hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Confident overseeing kitchen operations, food hygiene, and staff rotas
• Skilled in menu creation, cost control, and stock management
• Comfortable with high-volume service and meeting diverse dietary requirements
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
