The Role

As the Head Chef, you will lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests. You will bring a blend of culinary expertise, creativity, and strong leadership to oversee every detail of our kitchen operations.

Responsibilities Include

  • Design the creation of menus, considering seasonal ingredients, market trends, customer preferences, and dietary restrictions
  • Develop and manage the kitchen budget, including cost control measures and financial reporting
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, ingredient sourcing and presentation
  • Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Help establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality and fresh ingredients
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to consistently deliver exceptional and memorable dining experiences, supporting the team and encouraging growth
  • Provide training, and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, providing guidance and a collaborative work environment
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the kitchen teams comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new ingredients, and culinary techniques

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, or in a similar leadership role
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
