Job summary

Healthcare Homes are recruiting a Head Chef to work at St Leonards Court in Mundford. You will lead the hospitality function, managing a team to deliver quality, nutritious meals for 22 residents daily.

You will liaise with residents to create menus featuring family favourites and themed nights. The role requires professional kitchen experience, strong organisation, and confidence in menu planning, stock control and ordering, with a focus on minimizing waste and maintaining high hygiene

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and planning abilities for menus and stock.
• Good knowledge of hygiene and safe-food handling standards.

Job description

Healthcare Homes are recruiting for a Head Chef to work at St Leonards Court in Mundford. As our Head Chef, you will be taking the lead across our hospitality function, managing a team to deliver quality, nutritious meals for our 22 residents on a daily basis. As well as preparing and cooking meals you will also liaise with our residents to create a menu that delivers family favourite dishes along with regular theme nights.

The successful candidate will have experience in working in a professional kitchen, have good organisational skills and be confident in menu planning, stock control and food ordering, keeping waste to a minimum at all times. A good approach to kitchen practices and food hygiene standards is essential. City and Guilds or NVQ qualifications are preferred but not essential as they can be provided through our Academy.
