Brix is an exciting and innovative 120-seat restaurant, bar and event space, located in the heart of London Bridge. Set in a stunning 8,500 square-foot warehouse conversion, our venue blends contemporary style with a rich industrial atmosphere. We pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience, specialising in bold, flame-cooked dishes and creative culinary concepts.

We’re looking for a passionate and experiencedHead Chefto lead our kitchen team, create exceptional dining experiences, and bring new culinary ideas to life in a vibrant and high-energy setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the kitchen team in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes, focusing on flame cooking techniques.
  • Develop creative, seasonal menus that reflect the innovative spirit of Brix while maintaining a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards and are delivered on time.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and a smooth kitchen operation during busy service periods.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills and grow within the company.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and ensure cost-effective practices without compromising on quality.
  • Collaborate with the event management team to create bespoke menus for private events and functions hosted at Brix.

  • Flame-Cooking Expertise:A proven passion and experience in flame-based cooking techniques, with a deep understanding of how to elevate dishes using live fire.
  • Creativity:A flair for creating bold, original dishes that excite and surprise, while maintaining a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Leadership:Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience:At least 3-5 years in a senior kitchen role, with experience managing a busy kitchen in a high-end restaurant or event space.
  • Attention to Detail:A perfectionist’s eye for presentation, quality, and consistency in every dish.
  • Passion for Food:A true passion for food, cooking, and creating unique dining experiences that excite guests.
  • Organizational Skills:Ability to handle multiple tasks and ensure efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.
