We are a well-established, and popular Australian-inspired local neighbourhood restaurant located in SE8 5ER, and we’re looking for a talented and driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.. . This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start available. If you’re passionate about quality food, and enjoy leading a team in a fast-paced environment – we want to hear from you.. . What We’re Looking For:. A passionate, hands-on leader with experience as a Head Chef.. A positive, can-do attitude, with a genuine love for cooking and leading a team. Our clientele consist mainly of regulars so consistency is a must. . Someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen – we do have a Kitchen Porter to assist, but cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility.. A chef who values fresh, high-quality ingredients – all of our food is prepared fresh in-house.. Someone who is reliable, punctual, and understands the importance of consistency and teamwork. Someone who will take time to train the junior chefs. . Must be able to work weekends and be flexible to cover 40–48 hours per week, with additional hours available during staff holidays or busy periods.. . Key Responsibilities:. Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes.. Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and minimal waste.. Develop and update menus in collaboration with the management team, maintaining creativity and alignment with our Australian-inspired concept.. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations at all times.. Maintain and improve kitchen systems, prep schedules, and cleanliness standards.. Take responsibility for quality control, presentation, and timely service of all dishes leaving the kitchen.. . What We Offer:. A permanent, full-time contract..
