Qualifications

  • Experience as a Head Chef or similar role required.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and COSHH regulations.
  • Ability to lead and develop a kitchen team.

Job description

At Gather & Gather, we are known as one of the UK & Ireland's most distinctive workplace catering experts. We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to work with us in Hertfordshire.

Location:

Hertford

Rate of pay:

£45,000 per annum

Working pattern:

40 hours per week, predominantly Monday - Friday, between 7am to 4pm

Key responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and oversee all food preparation to the highest standard.
  2. Produce food in a timely manner to ensure smooth service to customers.
  3. Ensure all ingredients needed for menus are available.
  4. Develop and plan menus aligned with client and customer expectations.
  5. Be creative in menu planning, involving clients and customers.
  6. Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
  7. Manage the kitchen team, overseeing a team of 2-7 staff.
  8. Provide feedback and coaching on performance.
  9. Ensure the kitchen team completes up-to-date COSHH and Food Hygiene training.
