Job summary

Caravan is seeking a Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen with an emphasis on well-travelled flavours inspired by New Zealand and global experiences. You will inspire, train and mentor your team while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Experience with fresh ingredients and strong leadership is essential. The role includes development opportunities, with plans for expansion and open communication about growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking fresh ingredients
• Ability to manage a kitchen
• Strong leadership and team development skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and service, ensuring high quality dishes
• Support and inspire the kitchen team during every service
• Collaborate with General Manager and use systems such as Fourth, FnB and Harri where appropriate

Job description

Overall Earnings -

Up to £56,000 per year based on experience & volume PLUS BONUS. Open to conversation & negotiation.

What You'll Be Doing As a Caravan Head Chef

• You’ll be serving up our ‘well-travelled’ food, which is inspired by flavours from our founders’ native New Zealand, as well as their global travels.
• Support the restaurant team with our ‘Caravan of Love’ customer experience
• You will work with your General Manager to nurture and develop your team leading them from the front in every service.
• You will be open to learning in order to develop your knowledge and skills and you’ll take ownership of your role and your kitchen.
• We work with Fourth, FnB and Harri so it would be great if you have experience with these systems, although we can always show you the ropes if you haven’t.
