Job description

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a talented Head Chef to work in an exceptional care home based in the Eye, Diss area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.


This care home provides support for people with dementia and requires all types of care from nursing care to residential and respite care.


To be considered for this position, you must have proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting.


Key Duties:
  1. You will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and well-balanced meals for residents while ensuring a high standard of culinary excellence.
  2. Responsible for managing the kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  3. Play a pivotal role in staff training, ensuring a commitment to health and safety standards, and upholding a pristine and well-organised kitchen environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  1. Culinary degree or relevant certification.
  2. Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety regulations.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the care home.
  6. Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
  7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  8. Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
  9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

The successful Head Chef will receive an excellent salary of GBP16.00 per hour and the annual salary is GBP33,280 per annum.
