Get Golfing CIO, a charity dedicated to making golf more accessible for all, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organization managing 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors annually.

The successful candidate will be part of a company with a £20m revenue, employing 400 people, reinvesting profits into venues, courses, staff development, and community initiatives.

Role Purpose

The Head Chef will ensure high standards of quality and service across venues. Reporting to the General Manager, you will showcase culinary creativity, manage kitchen staff, and lead menu development and implementation.

This is a full-time position offering £40-42k per year, depending on experience. The role requires availability in evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  1. Input and shape briefs for site teams, leveraging your culinary creativity and understanding of food hospitality and business drivers.
  2. Develop menus responding to recipe briefs, aligning with our principles and commercial goals.
  3. Ensure allergen management processes are followed, with daily updates and accountability.
  4. Support kitchens across the group in recipe development, professional growth, and capability enhancement.
  5. Work with the Group Catering Manager to document, cost, and deliver strategic business objectives.
  6. Collaborate with Club House teams, Sales, and Marketing to realize our shared vision consistently across all sites.
  7. Bring an innate sense of what makes our food offerings unique.
  8. Open to candidates from backgrounds such as contract catering, hotels, restaurants, sports, and leisure sectors.
  9. Stay updated on food trends.
  10. Maintain computer literacy.
  11. Work efficiently under pressure.
  12. Manage menus and programs to meet financial forecasts, margins, and food costs.
  13. Experience in waste and stock loss management.
  14. Develop scalable recipe specifications.
  15. Deliver inspiring training sessions for operational colleagues.
  16. Proven coaching ability and staff development skills.
  17. Be creative, process-oriented, and methodical.
  18. Strong influencing skills across various levels.
  19. Effective communication with stakeholders to meet business goals.
