Job summary

Pho is seeking a Head Chef for our busy Edinburgh restaurant on Lothian Road. You will lead a hands-on kitchen team, drive high-quality dishes and maintain rigorous safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £47,500 with a discretionary bonus up to £6,000 and additional staff perks. You must be hands-on, supportive, and ready to develop your team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chefs with passion for cooking fresh, vibrant dishes.
• Minimum two years in a Head Chef role.
• Experience managing a team of chefs (wok, line, sous).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance with health & safety rules.
• Experience controlling stock and par levels with mindful ordering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen operations across sections.
• Mentor and support kitchen team to maintain high standards.
• Ensure strict food safety, hygiene and allergen controls.
• Manage stock levels, par levels and ordering processes.
• Collaborate with front-of-house for smooth service.

Job description

We are looking for a Head Chef to join our busy Pho restaurant in Edinburgh on Lothian Road.

Our kitchen has a wonderful team of chefs who work very hard and are great at what they do, so it's important we find the right Head Chef who is going to be supportive, friendly and hands-on, always ready to help in the different sections of the kitchen.

Salary offer of up to£47,500includes earnings received through tronc.

And on top of that, a bonus reward of up to£6,000!

What Pho is looking for:

• Hands on chefs who are passionate about cooking fresh, vibrant and flavoursome food.
• Head Chef with minimum x2 years' in role.
• Experience managing a team of chefs. In Pho we have wok chefs, lines chefs and sous chefs to support you.
• Strong knowledge in food safety and managing compliance within health and safety regulations
• Experience controlling stock and par levels through mindful ordering.
• Comfortable using different systems as part of your day-to-day. E.g. Acquire for stock ordering.
