Head Chef – Fresh Food Pub / Restaurant (High Volume)
Location: Burnley area
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 + Tips
Hours: Full-time, 5 days over 7
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a busy pub/restaurant serving 2,500 – 3,000 covers per week at peak trading times. This is a fast-paced, fresh food environment where you’ll be hands-on, managing a talented team and maintaining brand standards while delivering quality food at scale.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and consistency
• Manage kitchen operations: stock control, ordering, GP management and costings
• Train and develop junior chefs, building a strong and capable brigade
• Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Plan rotas and manage labour effectively during peak trading periods
• Assist with menu development and seasonal specials

About You
• Proven experience running a high-volume fresh food kitchen (2,000+ covers per week)
• Excellent leadership, organisation and communication skills
• Ability to train and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of kitchen finance, stock and labour controls
• Highly organised and able to work to brand specifications
